Five cybersecurity events in India this October
Conferences, summits and research tracks running across Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad in October 2026 — with who each one is actually for.
October is the densest month in the Indian security calendar this year. Five events of real substance, across four cities, aimed at quite different audiences. Dates and venues below; who should actually spend the travel budget is the useful part.
CISO6 Cyber Security Summit & Awards — Mumbai
9 October 2026 · Mumbai, Maharashtra
Enterprise security, cyber resilience, security leadership. Leadership-track rather than
technical — the room is CISOs and heads of risk. Worth it if you are building peer
relationships or benchmarking programme maturity, not if you want hands-on content.
HACKURITY 2026
14–15 October 2026 · REVA University, Bengaluru, Karnataka
AI security, IoT security, Web3 security, digital inclusion. University-hosted and
practitioner-heavy. The strongest of the five for engineers early in a security career, and
for anyone trying to understand where AI security is actually landing rather than how it is
being marketed.
RENEWSEC 2026
26–27 October 2026 · New Delhi
OT cybersecurity, renewable energy, critical infrastructure. Narrow and genuinely
specialist. If you run or advise generation, transmission or any CEA-regulated asset, this
is the one on the list with no substitute. Everyone else can skip it.
Black Hat India 2026
27–30 October 2026 · Bengaluru, Karnataka
Security research, trainings, Arsenal, briefings. The largest and most expensive of the
five. The trainings are usually the better value than the briefings, which are recorded;
budget accordingly, and book trainings early because they fill.
CISO6 Cyber Security Summit & Awards — Hyderabad
30 October 2026 · Hyderabad, Telangana
Critical infrastructure, cyber resilience, CISO leadership. The southern edition of the
Mumbai event; attend whichever is closer rather than both.
Engineer: HACKURITY, or Black Hat trainings if the budget exists. Security leader: whichever CISO6 edition is in your city. OT or energy: RENEWSEC, and it is not close.
A note on what this list is
These are events we expect to be worth the time, compiled from public announcements. Dates, venues and agendas move — confirm on the organiser’s own site before you book travel. For conferences running later in the year, the Cyber Pulse panel on the homepage carries a live events column that updates without us.
